I, as well, employ a pit-bull who stands out as the most supportive animal I’ve ever owned. Soon, a brand new dog breed will appear along for the media to blast, because they have performed rotties and dobies in past years. Unfortunate that media sensationalism breeds a lot inaccurate facts.
  • Comment on Impact of flaxseed oil on dog health by Jana 15 March, 2010, 3:31 pm
Definitely agree with the benefit of omega-3. We are supplementing for several reasons, including allergies. It seems to be the expert opinion that dogs do not benefit for flaxseed oil as humans do and fish oil source is needed to supplement omega-3. We are using pharmaceutical grade purified fish oil. How is it with dogs utilizing omega-3 from flaxseed then?
  • Comment on How to deal with Onion Toxicity by Jana 15 March, 2010, 3:37 pm
Oh my goodness, I was hoping everybody knew this by now! I was also hoping that people don’t give dogs the items listed here. Though my mom’s friend, back in my old country, feeds her dogs pasta with liver fried in onions. I explained this to my mom, and she tried to get through to her friend, but for some reason the friend is just stubborn about this. I don’t understand why, it is not more work to omit the onions from the food, it is actually less work. And if she’s worried about palatability, the dog is already extremely obese! I guess one can’t win them all. So I guess people need to be reminded of these things regularly.

  • Comment on Impact of flaxseed oil on dog health by Eileen 15 March, 2011, 5:39 am
I included flax seed oil as part of my dog’s cancer diet, as well as DHEA and a host of other vitamins. Not sure what did what but he lived 8 months longer than anyone thought. However I was told that fish oil isn’t the Best choice bc of mercury, and DHEA should be used. Just passing this along…

I’ve been browsing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all site owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.
